Wood's sedge, pretty sedge


This slow-creeping woodland sedge resembles the better known Pennsylvania sedge, but Wood's sedge tends to be more dense. Young foliage has a blueish hue in the spring and was a high performer in Mount Cuba's Carex trial. This species in not ecotypic to New England.
