Leatherleaf is a slow-growing evergreen shrub with white, bell-shaped flowers that bloom in the spring. Named for its tough, dark green foliage that purples in fall, leatherleaf provides valuable bird habitat and is a great addition to bog gardens. This species will not tolerate dry or shady conditions.
