Gaylussacia frondosa

blue huckleberry

Whether you know it as dangleberry or blue huckleberry, this plant is native to the woodlands adjoining bogs and swamps of the Northeast. Its berry is every bit as tasty as blueberry and black huckleberry, and it grows in similar conditions, tolerating shade and thriving in damp, well-drained soils.
