Heliopsis helianthoides

oxeye, sunflower everlasting

Ox eye is a drought-tolerant, clumping perennial with fowers reminiscent of the common sunflower, but smaller and produced in greater quantities. Its orange-yellow blooms make for great cuttings, and the flowers last for quite a while, making this a perennial bed favorite.
