Pachysandra procumbens

Allegheny spurge

This American native species of pachysandra puts out fuzzy-looking cinnamon-scented flowers in early spring, just as the leaves are beginning to emerge. It works well as a woodland groundcover, a native alternative to imported Pachysandra species.
