Eastern white pine is impossible to avoid in New England, but 'Blue Jay' puts a new twist on an old classic: this cultivar has slightly shorter, blue-tinged needles, and has a broad, mounding habit, growing wider than it is tall, with a width of up to 10 feet at maturity and a maximum height ranging from 3 to 8 feet over 10 years, depending on its growing conditions.
