Fraxinus pennsylvanica

green ash

Green ash is a rare sight in New England due to the proliferation of the Emerald Ash Borer, but in the absence of thriving populations, one might hope that the Borers are fewer in number than previously. Green ash is a handsome tree, growing in a range of average to moist soil conditions, with a pyramidal shape and distinctive compound leaves. It does best in full sun.
