Kalmia angustifolia 'Poke Logan'

Poke Logan sheep-laurel

Showy sheep laurel is a remarkable evergreen shrub, capable of growing in boggy to sandy soils, and of tolerating the coldest Zone 1 winters. While allelopathic to confiers and toxic to mammals, it provides winter forage and cover for songbirds. 'Poke Logan' is a cultivar with very glossy leaves and a shell-pink bloom. Plant in moist, well-drained, acidic soils in masses or to naturalize; the reward is an incredible early-summer floral display that attracts a great diversity of pollinators.
