Actaea podocarpa

mountain bugbane

This species blooms later than any other species of Actaea, extending well into October. When planted with other species of Actaea, it is possible to have Actaea flowering or fruiting from Spring to Fall, with fine tall blooms attracting a variety of bees all season long.
