Dasiphora floribunda

shrubby cinquefoil, shrubby potentilla

This species grows equally well in the wettest of fens and the driest of alpine sites. Bright yellow flowers bloom profusely over the summer months-- if the plant seems to be flagging, try a dusting of lime to decrease soil acidity and watch it bounce back.
