Hydrangea quercifolia 'Ruby Slippers'

pink-flowered oak-leaf hydrangea

'Ruby Slippers' is a compact cultivar of oakleaf hydrangea. It is prized for its tall, mostly sterile flower panicles, which mature from white to deep red. This shrub gives great late-season color with striking red and purple fall foliage in sun to partial shade. If growing in Zone 5, protect young or establishing plants from the cold to prevent die-off.
