Physocarpus opulifolius 'Tiny Wine'

Tiny Wine ninebark - PP26749P2

A terribly underutilized native shrub, ninebark is named for the numerous layers of bark which progressively peel in a manner similar to birch. White clusters of flowers are followed by red seed heads. It thrives in any soil type and is a perfect choice for naturalization or even stabilizing rocky sites. 'Tiny Wine' is the trade name for a compact cultivar called 'SMPOTW,' a shorter cultivar of 'Summer Wine' ('Seward'), with leaves maturing from dark green to purple in full sun.
