Rhododendron canadense

rhodora

Rhodora is common in bogs and other wet areas of New England, and grows well in wet parts of the garden. Vibrant pink flowers open before the leaves emerge, making the floral display that much more showy. Because this species rarely grows over 3-4 ft tall, it fits easily into tight spaces.
