Trillium cuneatum

whoopoorwill

One of the nicest of the southern Trillium species, whooperwill has dark red, sessile flowers with a fragrance something like spicy bubblegum. The dark variegation to the leaves seems to vary from individual to individual and looks nice even after the flowers have passed.
