Dwarf sand cherry is an attractive, low growing shrub that acts like a groundcover. The small, dark fruits of this species are highly prized by wildlife. A lovely groundcover option for harsh, dry conditions in full sun. Prunus pumila var. depressa is the variety native to New England.
